In order to synchronize your progress between Mac, iPhone and iPad, you need to keep iCloud Drive enabled.

In order to synchronize your purchases between Mac, iPhone and iPad, you need to keep iCloud Drive enabled. You need to open the app where you made the original purchase at least once per month so that the purchase receipts can be revalidated.
